Flips car in try to flee cops

A STATEN Island woman flipped her car as she tried to escape cops authorities said Friday.

Police tried to stop Danielle Fragetti, 25, as she was driving on Hylan Blvd. in Great Kills around 2:20 a.m. Thursday, cops said.

Instead, Fragetti hit the gas, and nearly swerved into a pursuing NYPD patrol car, before she slammed into a center median near Whitman Ave., cops said.

After it hit the barrier, the Nissan Altima launched into the air, flipped over several times and crashed on a lawn, video obtained by the Staten Island Advance shows.

Fragetti, whose speech was slurred, refused a Breathalyzer tests, cops said. Officers say they found crack in the car.

She was arrested for number of charges including reckless driving, drug possession and drunk driving, cops said.
