Former NBAer in forged plate bust
A ONCE-PROMISING future slipped further away from ex-NBA player Ben Gordon when he was busted with a forged license plate in Harlem — the basketball star’s third run-in with the law this year.
Cops stopped the 34-year-old shooting guard about 9 p.m. Sunday at 129th St. and Frederick Douglass Blvd. When they ran Gordon’s Florida license plate, they discovered it was forged.
Gordon was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and given a desk appearance ticket.
The hoops star was taken into custody in June by Los Angeles police for allegedly pulling several fire alarms in his building, where there was no blaze. Last month, Gordon was hospitalized in his hometown of Mount Vernon, Westchester County, after a confrontation with a woman at a sports rehabilitation center he runs, according to LoHud.com. He was not charged in that case.
