Cold-hearted thieves beat, rob froyo crew
THEY WEREN’T there for the froyo.
Two men held up a Pinkberry frozen yogurt shop in Greenwich Village, police said Friday.
The crooks walked into the store on Sixth Ave. near W. 14th St., pulled out a gun and forced two employees to the back of the place at 10:25 p.m. on Wednesday, cops said.
During the crime, the robbers beat up the 21-year-old and 42-year-old workers and made then open the safe.
They swiped $1,600 in cash and the victims’ belongings before they took off down Sixth Ave., according to the NYPD.
The victims suffered cuts and bruises. Medics took them to Lenox Hill Hospital for treatment, authorities said.
Cops released a photo and video of the suspects (inset) and asked the public for help in identifying them.
