Arrest made in drug slay

A MAN suspected of fatally shooting a rival drug dealer — and injuring the man’s girlfriend — was jailed late Thursday.

Durante Tirado, 20, was arrested hours after allegedly blasting Kahliq Francis multiple times inside a 16th-floor apartment in Starrett City on Tuesday night, police said.

Francis, 38, was in the home with his girlfriend, Chaleen Ma, when Tirado showed up and opened fire, authoritie­s said.

Francis was rushed to Brookdale Medical Center, where he died from a gunshot wound to the head, Brooklyn prosecutor­s said in a criminal complaint.

Mason, 32, who was also shot, managed to run and hide at a neighbor’s apartment on the 12th floor, where she called 911, cops said.

Tirado admitted he opened fire on Francis, according to the criminal complaint.

Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Marguerite Dougherty ordered Tirado held without bail during his arraignmen­t on murder and attempted murder charges Thursday night. AN ESCAPED circus tiger prowled around the streets of Paris Friday for “some time” before it was killed, French authoritie­s said.
