Ailing Carey delays tour
MARIAH CAREY is postponing her Christmas tour — but it will still be just in time for the holiday.
The “All I want for Christmas is You” singer was ordered by doctors to put the tour on hold and focus on her health. Carey, 47, previously canceled several tour dates because of a respiratory infection.
“I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones; it’s certainly nice to remember what we are grateful for! Like most, I’m thankful for my overall health… for which I need a bit more time to get right,” she explained Friday on Instagram. “Doctors have ordered a few extra days of rest before I can finally fly to New York and take the stage for my Christmas Tour.”
The tour, initially scheduled for Nov. 27, will now begin Dec. 2 in New York City.
Those who purchased tickets for the Nov. 27, 28 and Dec. 1 shows will get refunds, according to People.
