Dumpster inferno

A HELL’S Kitchen dumpster fire spread to a building, where it raged for hours Sunday night, authorities said.

The fire began around 9:10 p.m. and raced into the second floor of a four-story building on W. 48th St. near 11th Ave., fire officials said. No injuries were reported.

The building houses the Stage 48 nightclub, which was closed.

By 10:20 p.m. nearly 140 firefighters had responded, finally bringing the flames under control by 11:40 p.m.
