Actress details brutal sex assault in Cannes

- BY LAURA DIMON and LARRY McSHANE

ACTRESS KADIAN NOBLE remained visibly shaken Tuesday as she described an horrific alleged sexual assault by a crude and unapologetic Harvey Weinstein in a Cannes hotel room.

The Oscar-winning movie mogul marched out of the room “as though nothing happened” after groping Noble’s breasts, rubbing her vagina and forcing her to sexually gratify him, the 31-year-old Noble recounted.

“I kept saying no, and I felt so stupid,” said Noble at a Manhattan news conference. “But at the same time, I think a massive part of me had shut down, because going through it all now, it makes no sense that I didn’t run out of the room.”

Noble, who has filed a lawsuit against Weinstein, said the May 2014 attack at Le Majestic Hotel during the Cannes Film Festival left her depressed and suicidal — but had no effect on Weinstein.

Things turned ugly almost immediately after the actress was lured to Weinstein’s room by the promise of a possible movie role. Nobel recalled that she was thrilled by the chance to show Weinstein clips of her past performance on her iPad. She became perplexed as Weinstein showed little interest in her acting, instead caressing her shoulder before turning nasty.

“He gripped me and led me to the bathroom,” Noble explained, her discomfort still obvious. “He was rubbing my breasts. He placed his leg between mine from behind and was rubbing my vagina.”

Weinstein then exposed himself as they stood in front of a mirror, assuring the terrified Noble, “Don’t worry. I’m not going to ask you to suck it.”

He instead grabbed the actress’ hand and forced her to rub his genitals.

The two later crossed paths at industry events, the most recent in May 2016, without any apology or sign of regret from the Hollywood big shot identified by more than 80 women as a sexual predator.

A half-dozen woman charge they were raped by Weinstein during his decades-long reign of sexual terror. Weinstein has repeatedly denied all allegations of nonconsensual sex.

Even after the assault, Noble remembered, she was waiting for Weinstein to call her. “For me, meeting him was everything,” she said. “Now I feel stupid for putting so much trust in him.”
