Felony robbery

-

The U.S. Senate is on the cusp of passing a tax bill that would balloon deficits, disembowel the budgets of New York and other states, and provide 62% of its benefits to the top 1% of taxpayers. The tax cuts championed by President George W. Bush more than 15 years ago would have given just 27% of their benefits to those in the top 1%. Sen. John McCain opposed those tax cuts at the time because “so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us.” How can he, or anyone who purports to care about fairness, support this monstrosity?
