MAYOR DE BLASIO blasted a proposal by candidates for City Council speaker to extend term limits and allow Council members to serve a third term. “They’re wrong,” de Blasio said Thursday when asked about the push. Councilman Jumaane Williams introduced the bill Thursday, also sponsored by fellow speaker hopeful Ydanis Rodriguez, to allow a third term for the Council if voters approve it in a referendum.
