Cop cuffed in kid slap
AN OFF-DUTY NYPD officer found herself in handcuffs early Thursday after she slapped her 16-year-old daughter during an argument in Brooklyn, police said.
Officer Jere Upsher, 36, was charged with third degree assault — a misdemeanor — after slapping her daughter during an argument over the use of electronics in their Canarsie home, cops said.
Upsher’s daughter was not seriously hurt, officials said. The transit cop’s arraignment was pending Thursday.
The officer, who earned nearly $72,000 last year according to the website seethroughny.net, has been with the department for nine years, authorities said.
