iPhone buyer a soap sap

- Adam Shrier and John Annese

THAT’S A dirty trick.

A teen who thought he was buying a used iPhone wound up with a bar of soap in a box, cops said Thursday.

The thief set up the sale with his 17-year-old victim using a classified ad app called Letgo, then met his mark at Livonia and Snediker Aves. in Brownsville at about 4 p.m. Nov. 23 to seal the deal.

When the teen found soap instead of an iPhone 7 in the box, the filthy dealer pretended he had a gun under his jacket, cops said. The victim handed over his phone and wallet, which held $200, and the crook made a clean getaway, cops said.
