Filmmaker Sofia Coppola likes the direction in which Hollywood is headed. “My sets have always been inclusive of women, it’s always important to me that everyone feel safe and comfortable,” the “Beguiled” director (above) said at the Gotham Awards at Cipriani Wall Street. “That’s a priority, so I’m glad that’s being talked about so much. And I feel like there’s more women directors this year.” In May, Coppola became only the second woman to win best director at Cannes.
