10 yrs. for pusher who whined about drug death

- Andrew Keshner

A FENTANYL dealer fretted about his bottom line after a young mother died ingesting the dangerous opioids he peddled.

Now the dealer’s got a whole different problem — serving out a 10½-year prison term.

Brooklyn Federal Judge Brian Cogan told Edward (Super Ed) Carrillo Tuesday he was “a callous drug dealer.”

Prosecutors said 44-year-old Carrillo was at the heart of a trafficking operation that sold at least 280 grams of crack in the Queensbridge Houses and at least 400 grams of fentanyl in West Virginia.

The feds said they got Carrillo on tape in April 2016 when he heard from a dealer accomplice that a West Virginia woman “went out,” or overdosed, on what they thought was their supply. The cohort said he had to return the money he pocketed. “Oh, my God,” Carrillo moaned. In June, Carrillo pleaded to plotting to deal fentanyl. It’s his second federal conviction; the first in 2005 was for his link to another drug dealing ring.
