Phony doctor fled after fatal butt lift
AN EX-CON posing as a doctor gave a woman a silicone butt lift then fled the state when he learned it killed her, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Kevin Richardson, 47, was hauled into Manhattan Supreme Court to face manslaughter and unauthorized practice of a profession charges after the cosmetic procedure killed 31-year-old Latesha Bynum. Richardson also gave illegal injections to other women, authorities said.
Richardson, with his fake nurse pal Allison Spence, 44, collected patients at their “waiting room,” a Dunkin’ Donuts in Gramercy near an apartment they used to see clients.
From there they went to a building on E. 21st St. near First Ave. where the pair allegedly injected customers with potentially deadly butt fillers.
Bynum went to the hospital the night of her July 15 procedure complaining of dizziness and chest pains. She went into a coma and died about two weeks later.
