Talks Qns. clerk out of his wallet
HE WENT IN to buy some eye wash, but left with the cash in the pharmacy clerk’s wallet.
A touchy-feely pickpocket patted down an employee at Queens drugstore Wednesday, and stole the man’s wallet , police said.
The crook walked into the American Specialty Pharmacy on Hoyt Ave. at 27th St. in Long Island City at about 4:30 p.m., and asked about eye wash.
When the clerk came out from behind the counter, the handsy thief started asking about the man’s clothes, complimented his jeans and pulled his wallet from his pants pocket, cops said.
The whole episode was captured on surveillance camera, which police released early Thursday.
The suspect snatched the cash and deftly slipped the wallet back into the victim’s pocket.
After pilfering the money he took off.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
