Tower meeting twist

THE BRITISH publicist who facilitated a Trump Tower meeting with Russian operatives last year apparently stayed in touch with the Trump campaign, sending multiple emails to a top official and pitching a campaign profile on a Russian website, according to a report.

In an email obtained by CNN, publicist Rob Goldstone told Trump aide Dan Scavino that the campaign should create a candidate Trump profile on the Russian social networking site VK, adding that Donald Trump Jr. and excampaign chairman Paul Manafort were on board.

Trump Jr. has spent months denying that the campaign kept in touch with the Russians who attended the meeting.
