The screenwrit­er who penned “I, Tonya” thinks his film about will cause people to rethink the 1994 incident when pro-Harding goons ambushed her Olympic rival “I don’t think (the press) was particular­ly fair to her back then, scribe told us at the film’s premiere East Village premiere. “It was the first time there was a 24-hour news cycle and it had to be fed and it was very experiment­al back then and I think it was the first time people cared less about being accurate and just did it to fill it.”
