DON’S OUTRAGED – AT THE MEDIA!

- Kenneth Lovett

SHORTLY after being briefed on an attempted terror attack on his hometown Monday, President Trump took to Twitter to sound off — on a New York Times story from the weekend. Trump was informed about the pipe bomb explosion in an underground subway passage between the Times Square and the 42nd St.-Port Authority Bus Terminal stations within an hour of the 7:20 a.m. incident. “@POTUS has been briefed on the explosion in New York City,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted at 8:13 a.m. About an hour later, Trump tweeted out an attack on a Times story that mentioned his TV viewing habits, including that he sometimes “hate-watches” Don Lemon’s show on CNN. “Another false story, this time in the Failing @nytimes, that I watch 4-8 hours of television a day — Wrong! Also, I seldom, if ever, watch CNN or MSNBC, both of which I consider Fake News,” he tweeted. Trump issued a statement at 4:43 p.m., slamming the nation’s weak immigration laws and calling for the death penalty “in appropriate cases.”
