Women claim Hoffman preyed on them as teens

FIVE MORE women came forward to accuse Dustin Hoffman of sexual assault Thursday, with two accusers alleging they were in their teens when he exposed himself to them and masturbated in front of one of them.
Hoffman’s attorney dismissed some of the new claims as “defamatory falsehoods.”
The latest allegations reported Thursday by Variety and The Hollywood Reporter bring the total number of accusations against the Oscarwinning actor to eight.
One of the accusers, who opted to only use her first name, Pauline, told The Reporter that she was 15 years old in 1973, the year Hoffman invited her to his home, exposed himself in his daughter’s bedroom and masturbated in front of her.
Pauline said she first met the actor while she was working in a Manhattan clothing store and he would occasionally pop in and say hello.
She told the publication that Hoffman asked her to see a movie one afternoon, and afterward asked if she wanted to visit his home to see his puppy.
It was there that Hoffman led her into his daughter Karina’s room, exposed himself and masturbated in front of her, she said. Pauline said she didn’t confide in anyone at the time.
Cori Thomas, a playwright, shared a similar story with Variety.
She was just 16 when she met up with Hoffman and Karina for a day out in New York City in 1980, she said.
Karina was a friend from school, according to Thomas. The trio had dinner at an Upper East Side restaurant and went to the hotel where Hoffman was staying, Thomas told Variety.
Then Karina got sent home because it was a school night, Thomas recalled — and she was left alone with Hoffman in the hotel room.
Not long after his daughter left, Hoffman allegedly emerged from the bathroom naked except for a towel, which he dropped, she told Variety. “I was mortified. I didn’t know what to do . ... He stood there. He took his time,” she recalled.
Thomas said he donned a robe and she wound up giving him a foot massage until her mother arrived to take her home.
Two other women claim the actor used his fingers to penetrate them while working on the 1987 film “Ishtar.”
Melissa Kester told Variety she was dating a man who worked on the film’s music, and that she met Hoffman while visiting her boyfriend on set.
They hit it off the first few times they met, until Hoffman allegedly asked her to join him in a recording booth, where he put his hands down her pants.
“He put his fingers inside me. And the thing I feel most bad about is I didn’t know what to do. I just stood there. I just froze,” Kester said.
The other accuser, who opted to stay anonymous said she was a 22-year-old extra on “Ishtar” when Hoffman put his hand up her skirt while giving her a ride home in his station wagon.
She claimed that once he dropped her off, he gave her $20 and asked her to come home with him. She said she did and they had a sexual encounter she isn’t sure was nonconsensual.
Another woman who didn’t give her name told The Hollywood Reporter she was also slipped cash by Hoffman after an incident of forced oral sex when she was 21.
Three other women have detailed similar inappropriate behavior over the past few months: author Anna Graham Hunter, “Genius” producer Wendy Riss Gatsiounis and an actress who worked with Hoffman on Broadway, who said he groped and assaulted her almost nightly during the run of “Death of a Salesman.”
