NAZARETH HAS canceled its Christmas celebrations, with the Israeli town’s mayor blaming President Trump.
Mayor Ali Salam, who presides over the northern town of mostly Muslims and Christians, announced Thursday that planned events such as a Christmas market and festival were called off. He cited the U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and said it took the joy from the celebrations in the hometown of Jesus Christ, according to 10 News.
The Israeli channel added that the Christmas events normally are a huge boost to the city’s economy.
