JUDGE ’EM FOR YOURSELF

-

If you thought pervert Roy Moore’s defeat was humiliating for Donald Trump, it was like a giant win compared to the flameouts of his beyond-bizarre choices for three federal judgeships this week.

The uniquely unqualified men include Brett Talley, an Alabama horror book writer/ghost hunter/KKK sympathizer (were those ghosts he was seeing or just men in white hoods?), who forgot to disclose that his wife is chief of staff of the White House counsel.

Then there was judicial nominee Jeff Mateer of Texas, who called transgender children “devil spawn” — proof that Satan’s plan is at work. Right.

Finally, Matthew Spencer Petersen (pictured), a Federal Election Commission member tapped for a lifetime federal judgeship who had never tried a case and couldn’t answer simple legal questions at his confirmation hearing.

On the good side, however, a video of Petersen’s performance posted by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has turned Petersen into an internet sensation.

On the not-so-good side, it’s also turned him into an internet laughingstock. It was so horrifying that Talley should make him a character in his next horror book. Burn, witch, burn!
