Woman, 92, bashed in purse rob

A CRUEL purse-snatcher shoved a 92-year-old woman to the ground during a robbery outside a Bronx church Sunday morning, police said.

The mugger approached the woman from behind at about 7:50 a.m., in front of St. Joan of Arc Church on Stratford Ave. in Soundview.

He knocked the woman to the ground, took her purse and ran off.

The woman, who suffered a minor injury to her right knee, refused medical treatment at the scene, cop sources said.

Police visited the church at about noon to review surveillance footage, said the Rev. Paul Leblanc, the church’s pastor.

Leblanc said he didn’t know whether the victim attended the church.
