45-yr.-old in death plunge on E. Side
A WOMAN plummeted to her death from a Kips Bay apartment building Sunday morning, cops said.
Police said they believe the 45-year-old woman jumped from the Straus Houses on 28th St. near Second Ave., and authorities called it a suicide.
Fidel Gomez said he was sleeping in his third-floor apartment when he was jolted out of sleep about 9:40 a.m.
“I heard a loud noise. It sounded like one of those garbage trucks outside the streets. Boom! I look out and realized a lady had jumped from the roof,” said Gomez, 57.
Billy Inocencio, 38, said he was in his car, waiting for a parking spot when he heard a lot of commotion.
“When the police got there, they found the victim DOA,” Inocencio said.
