Lauer ex-aide tells of his sex ‘power abuse’

THE FORMER “Today” show staffer who took her brief relationship with disgraced NBC anchor Matt Lauer public says their fling was “an abuse of power.” Addie Zinone (photo) told Megyn Kelly on Monday that while the encounters in 2000 were consensual, Lauer’s behavior during their affair shredded her confidence — and the stress pushed her to join the Army. She later served multiple tours during the Iraq War, but couldn’t escape her fling with the now-disgraced morning show host.

“I want to put a face and a story to these women's accusations,” she told Kelly, adding that she wanted to “validate their claims.”
