Rapper Mystikal pleads not guilty
MYSTIKAL HAS pleaded not guilty in Louisiana to a sex assault charge, according to a report.
The 46-year-old rapper, whose real name is Michael Lawrence Tyler, waived an arraignment in Caddo District Court on Monday, according to KSLA News. He’s facing charges of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping.
Tyler is being held in Caddo Correctional Center, where he’s been since his Aug. 21. The “Here I Go” artist’s bond was set at $3 million, though KSLA reported he hopes to see that reduced after his Jan. 18 court date.
TMZ reported Tyler surrendered to authorities after learning Shreveport, La., cops had issued a warrant for his arrest. The attack allegedly took place outside a casino.
