Yes, during the campaign, agents who later went on to join Mueller’s team exchanged texts scornful of then-candidate Trump — among criticism of many other politicians. But when Mueller discovered the texts, he demoted one member of his team and the other departed.

Which brings us to Hypocrisy Number Two: Trump lawyers cry foul that Mueller illegally accessed transition emails. Balderdash.

In fact, the emails were obtained through proper legal channels from the federal General Services Administration, which hosted them.

The whining is especially rich given how candidate Trump called for the Russians to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails and celebrated breaches of the DNC and John Podesta’s private account.

Donald Trump and his allies are nervous, and they are lashing out. This will not end well.
