Hypocrisy Number One: Those on the right, including President Trump, are the first to denounce the slightest hint of criticism of police. But now Trump, Fox News and others nakedly smear not just Special Counsel Robert Mueller, but the FBI as a whole as the probe continues into links between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Criticism is fully within bounds. But when Fox News’ Jesse Watters asks whether the FBI is orchestrating a coup, he is fomenting fever dreams.

When Fox host Jeanine Pirro calls for a “cleansing . . .” in our FBI and Department of Justice” and individuals “taken out in handcuffs,” she’s injecting a virulent strain of propaganda.

The FBI’s “crime”? Alleged bias in its investigation.
