Pack puts Rodgers on IR

-

Disgraced former WFAN host Craig Carton may soon have to change his Twitter handle to @barstoolCraigie.

Carton, who was arrested in September for allegedly running a ticketreselling Ponzi scheme that funneled millions to pay off gambling debts, may be on the verge of joining Barstool Sports, the racy sports/humor site, according to the Sporting News.

Carton, whose handle is still @cc660, tweeted this week a possible hint that he may be joining Barstool when he posted, “My motto for the day written simply on a hat,” with a picture of the word “VIVA,” which is part of the Barstool slogan “Viva La Stool.”

Carton quit his WFAN morning show job alongside Boomer Esiason after his early-morning arrest three months ago. He has vehemently denied the charges against him and has said he is actually the victim in the scheme. Carton recently launched a new podcast called “Hello My Name is Craig,” the second episode of which focused on “honesty” in sports.

The most recent episode of the podcast centered on Carton’s well-publicized rivalry with Mike Francesa, who left WFAN Friday after 30 years. Carton,
