Man shot near his B’klyn apt

A BROOKLYN MAN was shot dead a block away from his apartment building Thursday, and his distraught mom is vowing to take revenge on his shooter.

“Why, God, why?” wailed 19-year-old Tahrim Applewhite’s mother inside her Gates Ave. apartment in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Applewhite, was shot in the right arm and stomach at Gates and Thompkins Aves. at about 11:40 a.m., police said.

Medics rushed him to Kings County Hospital, where he died.

“That guy who killed my son is going to die. If I catch him it's over for his life,” Applewhite’s grieving mom shouted. “I just want to torture him and this is how I feel.”
