On the subject of clemency: Color us confused about President Trump’s decision to free Brooklynborn Sholom Rubashkin, in the pen for bank fraud after sneaking payments to undocumented immigrant workers in an Iowa kosher meatpacking plant. To quote the President’s inaugural address on his credo for the country: “We will follow two simple rules: Buy American and hire American.” Another rule broken when it suits the boss.
