2018 Dodge Challenger
Many automakers boast about their models being stacked with options, but Dodge absolutely backs up that claim up with the 2018 challenger. The automaker offers the 2-door sporty car in no fewer than 16 different trim variations, many featuring a big V8 engine stuffed under the hood with a 6-speed manual transmission to back it up. most versions send power to the rear wheels, with the exception of the all-wheel-drive challenger GT.
New for 2018 is the challenger SrT hellcat Widebody, which adds fender flares and 20-inch aluminum wheels to the already aggressive vehicle, as well as electric power steering with selectable modes.
But the most impressive offering in the 2018 challenger lineup is the SrT Demon. Dodge introduced the Demon as a factory-produced, purpose-built drag car, squeezing 840 horsepower and 770 lb.-ft. of torque out of the already stout hellcat’s supercharged, 6.2-liter V8 engine.
Dodge claims the SrT Demon has the most powerful production V8 engine of any car, as well as the world’s fastest quarter-mile time (9.65 seconds at 140 mph) and 0-60 mph time (2.3 seconds) for a production car. oh, and it happens to be the first production car able to do a wheelie in factory form.
