No doubt Thomas loves the Cowboys

-

EARL Thomas did his best to give the Cowboys a Christmas consolation prize after helping the Seahawks knock Dallas out of the playoff hunt Sunday night. After Seattle’s 21-12 win at AT&T Stadium, the defensive back chased down Cowboys coach Jason Garrett on his way to the locker room to offer his future services.

“If you have a chance to get me, come get me,” said Thomas, who grew up in Orange, Texas, and starred at the University of Texas.

Thomas said he didn’t mean for the Cowboys to pursue him immediately, but rather that he’d be willing to sign with them after he’s done in Seattle. His four-year, $40 million deal ends after next season. “I’ve always been a Cowboys fan growing up,” Thomas said. “The biggest thing, I don’t literally mean ‘come get me now.’ I’m still in the prime of my career, I still want to be here. But when Seattle kicks me to the curb, please, the Cowboys, come get me. That’s the only place I’d rather be if I get kicked to the curb.” — Jake Becker
