Trump lauds heroes & self

-

PRESIDENT Trump on Wednesday stopped by a West Palm Beach, Fla., firehouse, where he touted the Republican tax plan and gave a shoutout to first responders.

Calling the tax plan the “legislation of all legislation,” the President talked for several minutes about achievements during his first year in office.

Trump had equal praise for the men and women of Fire Rescue Station No. 2.

“You do a fantastic job, and I just wanted to thank you very much. Really fantastic people,” Trump told the firefighters and paramedics.

“So thank you all very much, we appreciate it, now I'll go back to Palm Beach and you go back and watch yourselves on television. Create some stars in here, Chief.”

Trump’s visit came after five hours at the golf course near his Mar-a-Lago resort.

Trump spent the Christmas holiday at the resort, his 10th visit there as President.

Trump has been in Palm Beach since Friday, and plans to stay through New Year’s Day.

Among Trump’s golf partners during his visit was Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.), author of a bill to overhaul immigration policy.
