Not ‘Fair’
Prez rips mag – & wrong editor
Trump routinely bashed his predecessor, former President Barack Obama, for golfing during his presidency.
Aside from hitting Clinton, Trump used the same tweet to knock famed fashion icon Anna Wintour, seemingly implying that she worked at Vanity Fair.
Trump called out Wintour, the artistic director of Vanity Fair publisher Condé Nast, on Thursday implying that she would have given Clinton favorable press in exchange for an ambassadorship.
“Anna Wintour, who was all set to be Amb to Court of St James’s & a big fundraiser for CH, is beside herself in grief & begging for forgiveness!” he wrote.
Trump once championed Wintour, best known for editing the fashion magazine Vogue, saying she would be a perfect fit for an ambassadorship to England.
He tweeted in 2012 that he was “happy to hear” rumors that former President Barack Obama was considering the magazine mogul for an ambassadorship.
“She is a winner & smart!” he said.
Trump has attacked Vanity Fair and its former editor Graydon Carter — his longtime nemesis — for years.
“Has anyone looked at the really poor numbers of @VanityFair Magazine,” Trump tweeted last December. “Way down, big trouble, dead! Graydon Carter, no talent, will be out!” really
It wasn’t all fashion and golf for the President. He also had time to tweet about some international issues as he attacked China in wake of reports that Chinese ships transferred oil to North Korean vessels at sea in violation of UN sanctions.
Trump has been pushing for tighter economic sanctions against the country over its nuclear weapons program.
Trump said on Twitter that China was “Caught RED HANDED,” adding he was “very disappointed that China is allowing oil to go into North Korea.”
“There will never be a friendly solution to the North Korea problem if this continues to happen!” he added.
