Carrie – Fall left me with scarred face

THE ACCIDENT last year that left Carrie Underwood with a broken wrist was worse than the singer originally let on.

The country star, 34, also suffered a facial injury that required her to get at least 40 stitches when she fell on steps at her Nashville home in November, Underwood revealed in a blog post.

“There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up,” Underwood (photo before her injuries) explained in the post published Sunday.

“It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life.”

A rep for Underwood revealed two months ago that the singer was hospitalized with a broken wrist after taking a “hard fall on some steps,” but the facial injury was not made public until the blog post on her fan website.

The “Before He Cheats” singer wrote she’s healing but is “not quite looking the same” as she did before the injury.

Underwood was forced to cancel a scheduled performance at a benefit concert in Nashville following the accident.
