A uniquely personalized approach to learning—
No wonder everyone’s talking about Adelphi
Adelphi University is a highly awarded, nationally ranked and powerfully connected doctoral research university offering exceptional liberal arts and sciences programs and professional training with particular strength in our Core Four—Arts and Humanities, STEM and Social Sciences, the Business and Education Professions, and Health and Wellness.
In a recent survey, 97 percent of our graduates have jobs or are in graduate school within one year of graduation. Our focus on small classes, access to passionate professors, mentoring and the high-impact learning opportunities needed for career success is fundamental to the Adelphi experience.
This fall, we welcomed more than 1,100 students—our secondlargest and most diverse first-year class, adding to our rich community of students from 43 states (including U.S. territories) and 57 countries. Our main campus in Garden City—just 23 miles from New York City’s cultural and internship opportunities—provides students with a safe and welcoming place to live, with seven residence hall options and impressive state-of-theart facilities for students to pursue their academic studies.
With a wide array of 50-plus programs of study, dedicated faculty, an average of 21 students per class and a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio, Adelphi offers a uniquely personalized approach to learning.
Getting involved is something Adelphi students are eager to do. Students can participate in any of our 80-plus student clubs and organizations, join one of our 23 Division II teams, or play intramural sports.
Adelphi is proud to be nationally recognized by top organizations. U.S. News & World Report listed Adelphi as a Best College in its 2017 critique of 1,600 institutions and named Adelphi to its “Best Graduate Schools” list for our programs in Nursing, Speech-Language Pathology, Clinical Psychology, Audiology and Social Work. Forbes magazine named Adelphi one of “America’s Top Colleges” and Money magazine included us in its list of Best Colleges.
Our 100,000 Adelphi graduates form a powerful alumni network that continues to expand nationally and globally.
