Don gives up info on his biz
PRESIDENT TRUMP’S sprawling business empire has provided a cache of internal documents to investigators probing possible collusion between his campaign and the Russian government, according to a report.
The Trump Organization documents date to Trump’s campaign announcement in June 2015 and were given to special prosecutor Robert Mueller and congressional investigators, three people familiar with the matter told CNN.
The revelation indicates that Mueller’s team is focusing on business dealings conducted by Trump and his associates, in addition to the activities of his campaign.
Over the summer, Trump warned in an interview that his business ventures are a “red line” that investigators should not cross.
The new records include information on the controversial campaign meeting at Trump Tower in June 2016 that Donald Trump Jr. attended after Russian operatives promised “dirt” on Hillary Clinton, the sources said.
