20 yrs. for smuggling

- Andrew Keshner

A MEXICAN drug dealer is getting a 20-year prison term for years of smuggling cocaine, marijuana and heroin into America.

Salvador Jimenez Uribe helped move the narcotics across the border in tractor trailers that were bound for New York, Brooklyn federal prosecutors said Friday.

The feds also linked Uribe, 52, to cocaine coming in from Ecuador that was hidden in banana boxes.

The drug-running took place between 2007 and 2015, according to court papers. Uribe funneled drug money through a Queens jewelry store, which sent the funds back to Mexico.

He pleaded guilty in August 2016 to drug and money-laundering charges.

Uribe was looking at suggested federal guidelines of between 30 years to life when he was sentenced Friday.
