After being diagnosed with a blood clot, Rangers left wing Chris Kreider underwent successful rib resection surgery, the team announced. Kreider, who hasn’t played since Dec. 27 against the Capitals, will be reevaluate­d in six weeks. He remains out indefinite­ly.
