Locked-up Gotti: I’d

- Andrew Keshner

THE CONVICT grandson of John (Teflon Don) Gotti has plans for life after lockup — bringing the truth to youth.

As John J. Gotti awaits sentencing for being the getaway driver in a 2012 car arson, he told Brooklyn Federal Judge Allyne Ross he’s graduated from the school of hard knocks and wants to make sure others never get there.

“After I finish this sentence I truly believe I’ll have the wisdom and the growth to possibly use my personal influence and the attention my name brings to help steer high school kids away from drug use and remain in school to better themselves and help arm them with knowledge,” Gotti, 24, told Ross in a letter filed Monday.

Gotti is already serving an eight-year sentence related to peddling painkillers. He asked Ross to make his federal sentence concurrent with his state time. In November, the Gotti clan submitted stacks of letters calling on Ross to go easy.
