Lance gets best of King and Cavs

Lance Stephenson had 16 points and 11 rebounds, Darren Collison scored 22 points and the host Indiana Pacers rallied from a 22-point, first-half deficit to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 97-95 on Friday night.

LeBron James did everything he could to try to prevent the Cavs from losing a third straight game. He finished with 27 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds, while Kevin Love had 21 points and 10 rebounds.

But James had two chances in the final two seconds to win it and missed both opportunit­ies.

James also was baited into a technical foul by Stephenson with 7:53 left in the game. A replay review showed James shoving Stephenson in the chest, though TV replays showed Stephenson driving his thumb into James’ side.

l Utah Jazz guard Rodney Hood has been fined $35,000 by the NBA for slapping a phone out of a fan’s hand.

Hood was forced to leave Wednesday’s game against the Washington Wizards after receiving a second technical foul. He knocked the phone out of a fan’s hand while walking past the man who was sitting courtside and looked to be recording Hood exiting the court.

l Bradley Beal and John Wall each scored 30 points and the visiting Washington Wizards snapped a twogame losing streak with a 125-119 victory over the Orlando Magic.

l Kevin Durant scored 26 points, Draymond Green added 21 and the Golden State Warriors used a 13-4 run in the fourth quarter to beat the host Milwaukee Bucks 108-94.
