Vic sis to killer: Go rot in a hole

- BY CHRISTINA CARREGA

LIFE BEHIND bars is too good for a man convicted in a fatal home invasion robbery, if you ask his victim’s sibling.

Artisia Browne, 27, the sister of Taquane Clark, confronted her brother’s murderer, Elija Gough, 31, Thursday — just before he was sentenced to 65 years to life.

“Prison is a luxury. You deserve to be in a hole to live the rest of your days so you can be silenced like Taquane is,” Browne said.

“My mom is living and dying at the same time. I see the hurt look in her eyes as she is always counting, looking for my brother.”

Gough, 31, was one of three masked men who forced their way into a Jamaica home on Dec. 5, 2014 looking for marijuana.

Clark, 21, was shot and killed during the botched caper, in which Gough was also shot in the leg.

He managed to limp away, but left his DNA, his mask, a sneaker and a backpack at the scene.

It took a jury just three hours to convict him of second degree murder, burglary and other charges on Jan. 2.

“You destroyed a whole family and for what? For weed? Marijuana is almost legal in this city,” Justice Kenneth Holder said at the sentencing in Queens Criminal Court.

Gough's accomplice Prakash Churaman is expected in court on March 5.

The unidentified third suspect is still on the lam, law enforcement sources said.
