Clinton impeach att’y talks to Prez

- Rich Schapiro

SEEKING A legal eagle to protect him from the Russia probe, President Trump is in discussions with a veteran lawyer who represented Bill Clinton in his impeachment proceedings, a new report says. Respected Washington attorney Emmet Flood met with Trump in the Oval Office earlier in the week, according to The New York Times. No agreement has been reached, but the overtures to Flood indicate that Trump feels the need to beef up his legal team amid the investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller. Flood is no stranger to highprofile political cases. In addition to defending Clinton at the most precarious moment of his political life, Flood has worked under former President George W. Bush and represented Vice President Dick Cheney.
