Storm #3 is here – give us a break!

SAY IT ain’t snow!

Another nor’easter — the third in the past 10 days — was expected to hit the city with light snow and rain.

The National Weather Service forecast was for snowfall to begin about midnight Monday.

That will make the morning commute wet and slushy, with wind gusts up to 40 mph.

“It’s a classic East Coast western Atlantic track,” said Tim Morrin, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

A winter weather advisory was issued covering from 8 p.m. Monday to noon Tuesday.

The warning cautions drivers to expect “slippery road conditions” and “reduced visibilities at times” due to snow-covered roads.

But the snow is not expected to stick much, and the brunt of the storm will likely remain several hundred miles away from landfall.

The mercury will drop to 31 degrees Tuesday night with winds at 10 to 20 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
