Ex-con guilty in murders at S.I. office

- John Annese

AN EX-CON was found guilty Tuesday of guilty of killing his former boss and another man in a Staten Island loan office last year.

Ricky Dennis, 33, faces a maximum of life behind bars without parole, for the killings of Michael Genovese, 57, and Carl Clark, 52, on Jan. 24, 2017.

Dennis, who was on federal probation for the robbery of a Pennsylvania gun store in 2015, walked into Universal Merchant Funding on Buel Ave. in Dongan Hills at about 6:05 p.m., and executed the two men.

“This defendant walked into a private business and murdered his former boss and an employee in cold blood, shooting both victims and then fleeing the scene,” Staten Island District Attorney Michael McMahon said.

Dennis was caught on video leaving the borough in a gray Honda Accord — the same one seen fleeing the bloody scene — just 15 minutes after the killings, according to court filings.

Cops also found a face mask that was worn in the crime, in his car.
