Vic’s brother: City kept us from his body
THE BROTHER of East River helicopter crash victim Tristan Hill slammed the city medical examiner’s office Tuesday for temporarily blocking his family from viewing his sibling’s body.
Brendan Hill said when his devastated family asked to view Tristan’s (photo) remains in person, the ME’s office wanted to provide a photo for identification instead.
“My parents fought over a long period of time before they would allow us to view the body,” he said.
The ME’s spokeswoman Aja WorthyDavis said the office “would never deny a family the right to view a decedent.”
Brendan Hill also blasted the copter’s pilot and sole survivor Richard Vance for claiming that one of the five doomed passengers may have hit a switch that shut off the fuel to the chopper. “The pilot has said some pretty insensitive things,” Hill said. “There’s no way it should have gone down the way it did.”
