THE NAMESAKE grandson of notorious mob boss John (Dapper Don) Gotti was sentenced Wednesday to five years in prison for his role in the mob-linked revenge burning of another man’s car.

John J. Gotti pleaded guilty last year to serving as the getaway driver in his Jaguar, while others torched the vehicle at the behest of Bonanno mobster Vincent Asaro. The 83-year-old Bonanno capo wanted payback against a driver who cut him off in Howard Beach traffic in 2012.

“I’m in a good place today mentally and physically,” Gotti, 24, told Brooklyn Federal Judge Allyne Ross on Wednesday. “I look forward to the years to come. I know when I leave here, I can give something good back to the world.”

Gotti is already serving an eight-year state sentence for peddling painkillers. Half of his federal sentence will run concurrently with that sentence.

He is the son of Peter Gotti, one of five children of the famous Gambino Mafia don who died in federal prison in 2002.
