Marching for Life through New York

- Laura Dimon and Janon Fisher

FED-UP New Yorkers who can’t join the March For Our Lives rally against gun violence in Washington, D.C., next week can head to the Upper West Side instead.

Anti-gun violence groups are inviting anyone who wants to support the Parkland, Fla., school shooting survivors to gather on March 24 for their own demonstration.

Moms Demand Action, Gays Against Guns, Everytown, Guns Down Life Up and other groups will attend the protest march.

Organizers are calling for protesters to show up at 10 a.m. at W. 72nd and Central Park West to start the rally.

“No child in their home or community should be victims of gun violence. We need to join hands instead of discriminate against each other for our skin color or religion,” 11-year-old Christopher Lane with Guns Down said.

“This is bigger than Donald Trump. This is bigger than Al Qaeda.”

Marchers will head south at 11 a.m. to Sixth Ave. and W. 43rd St. where they will disperse.
