Mueller subpoena for

PRESIDENT TRUMP’S company has been forking over documents to special prosecutor­s looking into possible election-meddling by Russia since last year, a lawyer for the company said Thursday.

The Trump Organizati­on has been responding to requests for records from special counsel Robert Mueller since July 2017, company lawyer Alan Futerfas said.

The president’s corporatio­n is “fully cooperativ­e with all investigat­ions, including the special counsel,” Futerfas said.

His statement came in response to a New York Times report that the company had been slapped with a subpoena for documents involving the company’s dealings with Russia.

“This is old news and our assistance and cooperatio­n with the various investigat­ions remains the same today,” Futerfas said. Last July, the President told The New York Times that Mueller would be crossing a “red line” if the investigat­ion started looking into his or his family’s personal finances. He stopped short of saying that he would fire Mueller (photo), a former FBI director, for snooping in his business records. “No, I think that’s a violation. Look, this is about Russia. So I think if he wants to go, my finances are extremely good, my company is an unbelievab­ly successful company,” the president said during the Times interview. Trump also told reporters for the paper that he had not been contacted by investigat­ors at that time.
