TRUMP SON’S SKI LOVE – CONFIDENTIAL:

-

WHILE ONE TRUMP sibling’s marriage has hit rock bottom, another’s is on the slopes. Eric Trump and his wife, Lara Trump, were spotted “hand in hand” on a ski trip in Aspen over the weekend, where the First Family has a lot of history — some good, some bad.

The pair was first spotted with a quartet of friends at La Creperie du Village restaurant eating black truffles and cheese fondue. According to our mile-high spy, they were surprisingly well-received by diners in the left-leaning city.

“Eric was greeted warmly by other diners who asked him to, ‘Say hello to your dad,’ ” our source says. “Eric was overheard laughing and saying, ‘There are a lot of us like-minded people, even in Aspen.’ ”

Our insider was flabbergasted when told that one diner asked Eric (photo) to thank his dad “for saving” the country.

“I almost fell off my chair,” said our source.

We’re told that Eric and Lara, who married in 2014, have been coming to the eatery for years and were walked to “the best table in the house” by the eatery’s owner.

“There was no “The Crown” actress jeering or booing Vanessa Kirby is queen — I’d tell if you for a day at the Empire they were,” our Awards in London. insider vowed.

The Trump couple was also seen at Colorado hotspot Campo de Fiori on Saturday night.

Aspen has a special place in the hearts of the Trump clan.

Donald Trump Jr., whose wife, Vanessa, filed for divorce last week, worked there as a bartender and was a self-professed “ski bum” after college.

“I had a great time,” he told New York magazine of the year he spent there after graduating college in 2000 before returning to Manhattan. “But your brain starts to atrophy.”

In March 2017, Donald Jr.’s then 5-year-old son Tristan was rushed to a hospital when he broke his leg on the slopes, just a few weeks after attending his grandfather’s inauguration in Washington. Aspen is also where family matriarch

Ivana Trump nearly, according to some accounts, broke Marla Maples’ face in an infamous 1990 run-in. Ivana allegedly told Maples she knew about her interest in The

Donald, leading to an animated conversation that made national headlines. The future President divorced Ivana in 1992 and married Maples in 1993. That marriage lasted until 1999.
